What is Aslan’s Table?

In the Narnia series, Aslan’s Table is a place of rest for weary travelers, on which a fresh new feast appears magically every day.

I don’t expect to post daily updates. But I do aspire for everything I write to be encouraging and refreshing for as many people as possible. As the apostle Paul wrote, “Knowledge puffs up, but love builds up.”

So the topics I choose will generally be things I believe and hold dear, especially those that I find lacking in most online circles.

Who are you?

I’m strictly an amateur when it comes to writing. My writing experience comes mostly from Quora, where I was pretty active from around 2014 - 2019 or so.

Professionally, I’m a software engineer. I’m most interested in programming as a tool for helping people to think and to communicate better, a la Bret Victor.

My Myers-Briggs type used to be INTP. But I’ve spent the last several years working to develop my feeling side, with help from my wife and from Taylor Swift.

I’m a father of two young boys, and I’m endlessly fascinated by watching them learn and grow.

And lastly, I’m a Christian. I believe that the greatest adventure of my life is to follow Jesus and to see how he transforms me according to his plan.
